Having a lapdance in the Pink Pony Bar
The following story appeared on September 13 in the news:

“Three men spewed anti-American sentiments in a bar and talked of impending bloodshed the night before the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, a Daytona Beach strip club manager interviewed by the FBI said Thursday. "They were talking about what a bad place America is. They said 'Wait 'til tomorrow. America is going to see bloodshed,"' said John Kap, manager of the Pink Pony and Red Eyed Jack's Sports Bar. Kap said they made the claims to a bartender and a patron.

Federal agents were investigating on several fronts in Florida on Thursday after searching homes and rental car documents and poring over flight school student records across the state. Kap said he told FBI investigators the men in his bar spent $200 to $300 apiece on lap dances and drinks, paying with credit cards. Kap said he gave the FBI credit card receipts, photocopied driver's licenses, a business card left by one man and a copy of the Quran that was left at the bar. The FBI asked him not to reveal the men's names publicly, Kap said. He said they lived in three central Florida communities between Daytona Beach and Orlando.”
(AP, 9/13/01)

Other accounts specify that it were three Middle Eastern patrons (New York Times, 9/14/01).

Now, let’s get this straight:
Three Middle Eastern men from central Florida forecast in the night before 9/11 the attacks.
They leave not only their credit cards but further documentation of their identity.
They even leave a Quran.
And NONE of them will ever be charged??????

1. Isn't that funny how they always have a Quran with them?
I imagine it weighs like a phonebook.

2. That's probably why they always leave it behind. After all that drinking
it feels like it weighs even more.

So they just ditch it, cause they are such religious fanatics.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

3. It's very simple
if they are guilty then they always leave boxcutters behind.
If they're innocent they leave Qurans behind.

No wonder the FBI didn't try to figure out who these guys were.
And no wonder that the OTClers find this again pretty normal.

5. You'd be surprised how people with guaranteed tickets to heaven will act.
And they didn't leave their credit cards.

8. LOL. What was the point of this thread again?
Oh yeah, speculation about what Muslim men should and shouldn't have done and how they acted prior to the attack. Who is the behavior science expert again? Oh that's right, the OP is "just asking questions" so he doesn't need any expertise or a link.

Would it kill the CTers to provide links?

12. Not really sure if this is the issue....
The OP clearly asks the question why these people weren't charged although they did everything to be identified.

before we can even comment.

6. Al Takfir Wal Hijra
Edited on Sat Jan-13-07 03:12 PM by LARED
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takfir_wal-Hijra

Takfirs are radical islamists who are not bound by the usual Islamic religious constraints. They adopt non-Islamic appearances such as shaving their beard and wearing a tie in order to blend into crowds and make themselves hard to detect even to other Muslims. They can drink alcohol and even eat pork to deceive their enemies. They believe that any means justify the end and, that killing other Muslims can be justified in their cause and that Western society is heathen and it is their duty to destroy it.<1>

14. You miss the point, you link to right wing websites and you fail to prove anything.
Edited on Sat Jan-13-07 05:28 PM by John Q. Citizen
1. You miss the point, Lared. The point is the amount of obvious US government involvement from international entry to criminal act that is the common thread running through the story of the accused hijackers. The only way most of the hijackers survived was on the widespread hands off policy that ran through the federal bureaucracy. Which is much more important than a planted bogus story to address the glaring differences between the 9/11 Commission's characterization of the hijackers and the public record. You publish right wing opinion as fact. It's shocking.

2. You post from right wing sites. From the website Militant Islam Monitor, the site you posted. Notice the resounding praise heaped on like honey on a cake from Neocon mentor Daniel Pipes? That site is a government propaganda organ. It's tied up with Pipes. He's about as big a right wing asshole as you are likely to meet.

Your other site posted, Jamestown org, is another right wing site. Dick Cheney used to be on the board of directors of it's parent organization, The JamesTown Foundation.

3. You failed to make your pointIf you believe debunking is dependent on quoting right wing bush government propaganda produced by their supporting organizations in academia, private think tanks, and publishing, then it's easy to see why so many folks know what Max Cleland knows. "The 9/11 commission was compromised."

Everybody knows that.

Why would these guys go to a Strip club? Because they had to in order to fight the infidels, and it was thus OK because it was business? Hell no. It was because they wanted to drop off another Koran to scare the masses, what else? Another high profile appearence of the mystery accused hijackers and their wide circles of aquaintences.

Our government's close working relationships with known terrorists, including the accused hijackers, is well documented. See Peter Lance's "Triple Cross" or Daniel Hopsicker's "Welcome to Terrorland."

Do you know what happened to them? Or are you just speculating nothing happened to them?

Edited on Sat Jan-13-07 06:38 PM by RedSock
They did nothing illegal, but according to Kap -- "They said 'Wait 'til tomorrow. America is going to see bloodshed."

So, either:

1. They guessed correctly -- which is pretty amazing; or

2. They had prior knowledge of the attacks.

They should have been questioned. They may have been questioned. The news snip does not say. Perhaps they were sent to Gitmo.

It's not like the Govt. told us the name of every single person they talked to or sent off to camps.

---------

They had lap dances. They bought drinks. They said they hate America. They left a book in a bar.

Andre, what would you *charge* them with?

18. Maybe they didn't say that.
We only have Kap's word that they did. Could have been they were just badmouthing America and Kap didn't like them at all.
