Modeling the Pentagon Security Camera Video Capture of the "Plane"
Edited on Fri Sep-08-06 12:13 PM by spooked911
In the 2nd Pentagon security camera videos that were released in May 2006 (after the conclusion of the Mousaaoui trial), one frame had the putative plane.

View my analysis of the video here:

1. Nice effort.
I think this one is more accurate:

3. Makes it easy to see why they chose that particular area of the Pentagon

to be the "sweet spot". Given the lineup you showed, even a pilot with Hani Hanjour's limited flying skills ought to be able to fly over the Pentagon and glide directly to a safe landing at Reagan National.

4. That's a crock...
Do you know how to read a map? The final flight path was on a heading of 68 to 70 degrees. The closest runway at DCA is 15. Runway numbers are to the nearest 10 degree, so 150 - 70 = 80 degrees. That nearly a sharp right hand turn - which doesn't come anywhere close to being "glide directly". The main runway at DCA is 19 - so 190 - 70 = 120 degrees, which also isn't "glide directly".

5. Easy for YOU to say, but a piece of cake for ace pilot Hani Hanjour

You have every confidence in his superior piloting skills, don't you? Hani could have handled even your
flight plan to Reagan National.
