Truthdig refuses to investigate 9/11's unusual coincidences
Truthdig blogger Blair Golson thinks 9/11 conspiracy theories are "crap".

Why the 9/11 Conspiracy Theories Resonate

By Blair Golson

I have studiously avoided blogging about “The U.S. government planned 9/11” conspiracy theories because, frankly, they strain credulity*; it seems unlikely to the extreme that the government could keep a secret like that from leaking. But Time magazine has a good explanation of why 36% of people polled lend credence to these claims: We need grand theories to make sense of grand events, or the world just seems too random.

*Editor’s note: I originally had written “...frankly, they’re crap; no government could keep a secret like that from leaking.” But as anything is theoretically possible, I decided to soften my statement.

Many of the posted replies were great and soundly flog his seriously uneducated post.
The post made start to wonder what the motives could Golson and Truthdig have for ignoring and refusing to investigate the unusual coincidences that occurred in the time surrounding 9/11. Here is my reply to Golson's post which the Truthdig moderator, as of yet, has omitted from the blog.
Am I being too harsh?

2.  no government could keep a secret
hell of a lot easier to keep things secret when no one checks anything out cause they assume it is crap cause no one could keep it secret

4. And even if they didn't, nobody'd believe it.
Dr. Griffin's first two books were never reviewed in any mainstream
publications. Mike Ruppert wrote it all down about the Promis software
and the whole bit and nobody cares except us tinhatters.

Why, to protect them, of course!

"The post made start to wonder what the motives could Golson and Truthdig have for ignoring and refusing to investigate the unusual coincidences that occurred in the time surrounding 9/11. "

The conspiracy grows larger everyday even including heretofore unknown bloggers.

8. What are the motives behind 9/11 truth denial?
Edited on Wed Sep-06-06 04:09 PM by sagesnow
Here are my guesses as to what causes 9/11 truth denial:
1. Denial (common in republican circles) that the United States could be responsible for evil tendencies of Empire Expansion.
2. Tacit acceptance of the Iraq War because they agree with PNAC's mission for the US have hegemony in the Middle East and control
of the Oil and Defense Market there.
3. Tacit acceptance of the Iraq War because they agree with AI PAC and Israel's desire for the US to provide military defense for
them.
I hesitate to add this last motive, out of certainty that certain pro-Israel factions will yell that I am being anti-semitic. I do not care what ethic or religious group you belong to, however, I do care that my tax dollars go for an illegal war in Iraq and free military defense for Israel.

9. As usual an OCT proffers an "argument" against any and all false
flag attacks -- ignoring all of modern, recent and current history.

11. no government could keep a secret like that from leaking - this is so cute
I love this one. A handful of men could never, ever keep a secret from the rest of the world. Goodness knows, there's never been a multi-person crime that's gone unsolved, because no one blabbed. There's never been a single, solitary black op, (regardless of the money spent on them), because no one could keep it to themselves. The CIA has never undermined a foreign government, because they couldn't keep it under wraps... and on, and on...
