NABLUS, West Bank - Israeli troops killed two Hamas fugitives and seriously wounded a third in a gun battle in a West Bank refugee camp Tuesday.

The firefight erupted after troops raided the Tulkarem refugee camp in the northern West Bank with jeeps and armored personnel carriers, and conducted house-to-house searches.

The wounded man was taken to an Israeli hospital.

The Israeli military said the three had been involved in attacks on Israelis, including shootings, and that one was a senior Hamas member.
