Israel: Absurd that Sec. Council is led by Hezbollah-supporter Syria
It is "absurd" that Syria, a country which supports the Hezbollah terrorist organization, is currentlyserving as head of the UN Security Council, Israel ambassador to UN Danny Gillerman told Israel Radio on Sunday morrning.

<snip>

On Friday, Israel told the UN that raids on northern Israel
by Hezbollah guerrillas operating from southern Lebanon
threatened to stoke regional tensions and undermine Middle East peace efforts.

Meanwhile, the United States warned Lebanon and Syria that the administration was seriously concerned about what a U.S. official described as a "calculated and provocative escalation" by the extremist group and told the two Arab governments it was important to restrain further attacks.

gravy to the gander.
When Israel starts treating Palestinians
in a humane way they can start complaining about 'terrorism.'
Hamas ain't got nothing on the the IDF.

3. Israel
the violater of how many UN resolutions says this?

Israel has no moral grounds on which to talk about who heads anything at the UN.

5. Moral grounds
Israel's moral grounds are equal to any of the other violators. More so to register aggressive violations which could result in open warfare. There is not balcklist, to my knowledge.

Does an accused violator of your local law have the right to complain if his house is raided by police or a vigilante group or whomever?

6. I've found this topic almost impossible on DU!
Please be careful because I actually had a post deleted due to my pro-Israel views! It may not be worth it ...

8. People don't get their posts deleted due to pro-Israel views...
If you read this forum you'd know there's a wide range of views posted here and the only reason posts get deleted is due to personal attacks, stereotyping particular groups, and anti-semitism/anti-Arab sentiment. There's a few other things that'd cause posts to be deleted but holding pro-Israel or pro-Palestinian views aren't reasons that'd get yr post deleted. I'd be hopeful that people who are genuinelly interested in discussing the issue can do so without resorting to that sort of stuff, but if they can't then I'd tell them to be very careful, cause they're not going to last too long...

9. Thank you for your pronouncement!
I do believe I responded to an extremely anti-Semitic post by ending with "... your anti-Semitism is showing." I was told someone pushed "alert" on it and the moderators were deleting it. With all due respect to the moderators, I don't find that to be a personal attack.

:eyes: :wtf: :kick:

10. Have you bothered to read the guidelines?
You said yr post was deleted because it was pro-Israel, now yr telling me something completely different. Oh-kay. As for why the post yr speaking of got deleted, spend the few minutes needed to read the guidelines. You might think it's just okay to swan around accusing people of being anti-semitic just because you decide they're anti-semitic, but DU doesn't agree with you on that...

11. DU does not allow accusations of antisemitism.
If you see posts you feel are antisemitic, hit the Alert button.
