Ben-Baruch acquitted of membership in Bat Ayin terror cell

"The Jerusalem District Court on Tuesday acquitted Yosef Ben-Baruch of being a member of the Bat Ayin Jewish terror cell, Israel Radio reported.

Ben-Baruch has been under arrest for the past 19 months and was cleared Tuesday of all accusations against him, including involvement in murder and membership in a terror cell.

"Three months ago three of the Bat Ayin cell members were found convicted and sentenced. Shlomo Zeliger and Ofer Gamliel were both sentenced to 15 years in jail, and Yarden Morag, who cooperated in his interrogation with the police, was sentenced to 12 years.

The three, all residents of the West Bank settlement of Bat Ayin, had been convicted of trying to set off a bomb near a girls' school in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of A-Tur in April 2002, as well as illegal weapons possession."
