$100m boost for West Bank wall
http://www.news24.com/News24/World/News/0,,2-10-1462_1457375,00.html

Jerusalem - Israeli lawmakers on Tuesday approved 100m for the construction of another segment of the controversial separation barrier Israel is building with the West Bank, parliamentary sources said.

The Knesset's budgetary defence committee released the money to build a new segment of the network of fences, trenches, concrete and barbed wire in the northern West Bank despite strong Palestinian and international condemnation of the project, they said.

Palestinians regard what they have dubbed "the apartheid wall" as an attempt to pre-empt the borders of any future two-state settlement to the conflict and grab some of their most fertile land.

3. Hurrah
A spokesperson for the opposition Labour party said the funding was approved for this northern section because "its path doesn't pose any problems because of how close it is to the Green Line," referring to widely accepted pre-1967 border.

The fence is on the Green Line, so there should be no objections. This should have been done already. Shows how resources are hard to allocate.
