Hamas Official Says Suicide Attacks to Resume
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/nm/20031208/wl_nm/mideast_hamas_dc

A top official of Islamic group Hamas said Monday the recent lull in Palestinian militant suicide attacks against Israel was just a break between waves.

"The martyrdom operations come as waves so there are gaps between the waves," Hamas chief spokesman Abdel-Aziz al-Rantissi told Reuters in an interview. "We are just in the period of a gap between waves."

A day after the collapse of talks among Palestinian factions on a complete cease-fire with Israel -- which Hamas opposed -- Rantissi said Palestinian militants were emboldened by Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon (news - web sites)'s domestic woes and U.S. problems in Iraq (news - web sites) and Afghanistan (news - web sites).

"Everything is changed. Locally, regionally and internationally," Rantissi, a co-founder of Hamas, said. "The problems of America and the situation of America in Iraq and Afghanistan has its effect on the situation in Palestine. I believe that Palestinian people are stronger than before."

Sworn to the destruction of Israel and at the forefront of a suicide bombing campaign, the radical Islamic group opposes the United States as the Jewish state's main ally.

.................................................................

oookkkkk...then targeted killings will resume and hopefully
that bloodsucking Rantisi is first.

:nuke:

1. This is one time I think I'll take his word for it!
I especially take notice of the partial sentence, "Sworn to the destruction of Israel..." as it never changes.

Thanks for publishing the article. You are my hero!

2. This is simply despicable...
advocating more murderous streiks against innocent Israeli civilians is atrocious.

Hamas must change from its present form in order for there to be peace.

7. And I Say
That Israel remove the fence so that the next wave of bombers don't run into any inconviences. That's what so many of the posters here want, so I'm jumping on the Israel has no right to defend herself and people here in front of their keyboards who don't have to worry about being blown up next time they ride a bus and know more about how to keep Israelis safe than Israel does bandwagon.

8. Of course Israel has the right to defend herself!

However, building the Land Grab Wall was a bit more then self-defense, as is mantaining the settlements and firing at terrorists in the middle of crowded areas...

9. Spoken Like An Expert
I present Exhibit A of a person who, writing in the comfort of safety of in front of his computer, with nary a concern in world about eating at a resteraunt, going to a party at a banquet hall, shopping, or riding a bus who knows more about how Israel should defend her citizens from barbaric murderers who would kill every last Jew if they could get enough suicide bombs to do the job, than actual Israels who do have to worry about such things do.

One can only wonder how many more Israelis would be blown up while enjoying some pizza if the security experts here were in charge of protecting these lives.

15. Uh, what?
You have constantly criticized pro-Palestinian posters because they attacked the credibility of the source and not the message. How is that different from what you're doing now?

i was seriously questioning your lack of perspective.

"its obvious you have never been to Israel and you certainly
have never been to Jersusalem.

After you go, give me a call."

is attacking you , hit the alert.

13. Crowded areas
Terrorists make it a policy to hide in populated areas to both limit Israel's ability to get rid of them or to maximize body count if Israel does anything.

Given that the PA won't root out the bastards, what do you propose?

to minimize civilian causalties you would have a point.

But they don't, at least not all the time.

"If Israel actually made an effort to minimize civilian causalties you would have a point."

Other than your opinion, how do you know this??

Do you know what actually is talked about before these operations??

or isnt that really just your biased hatred of the idf coming thru?

you really have no proof of this do you?

Edited on Mon Dec-08-03 09:55 PM by Proudlib
We don't need no stinkin' proof.

If it sounds good and makes Israel look bad, say it.

Like asserting that innocent Palestinians are being killed by the Peace Fence.
