Many of the current residents of Israel are second and third generation Israelis. In many instances their great grandparents came from Europe. How could they possbly be repatriated?
Also, how could they be repatriated to America when very few American Jews elected to move to Israel.
1. I find this to be an interesting parallel to something Israel would like of many Palestinians.
Why isn't anyone talking about that? Israel doesn't exactly treat many Palestinians who've been on that land for more than 2 or three generations as if they have any right to that land. Somehow, it's more "Jewish" than anything and the locals are almost treated as second class citizens.
I just don't see how instructing an Israeli who was born in Israel and whose parents were born in Israel and whose grandparents were born in Israel to move to Europe brings ua closer to mutual respect and recognition.
Same for moving to America as few Israelis have ancestors fromm there.
