Likud activist: Obama regime anti-Semitic
About 200 Likud activists attended a meeting to express their objection to the temporary settlement freeze announced by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Yesha leader Ron Nachman said in the meeting: "I want the ministers to look me in the eye and tell me – what is Likud's way? This is the way of Rabin, Barak, Meretz, and the Left."

Nachman added that he will petition the High Court of Justice against the freeze. He also praised Minister Limor Livnat for speaking out against the Obama Administration.

"You should be praised for having the courage to utter these words," he said. "Obama would not dare do in America what is being done here. They have a constitution there, rather than prostitution."

'We're the majority'
Another activist, Beit Ariyeh Local Authority Head Avi Naim, also slammed the US Administration for exerting pressure on Netanyahu.

"The Obama regime is anti-Jewish and anti-Semitic; it's the worst," Naim said.

1. Someone should tell that horse's ass Nachman that...
...the President is NOT anti-Semitic. He's just anti turning other nations these extremists don't like into parking lots. And I have two words for Mr. Nachman. One starts with the letter F and the other with the letter O.

3. Yeah, those guys are a bunch of insane wankers...
If they knew I was calling them that, they'd probably accuse me of being antisemitic for thinking they're insane wankers :)

2. There's just a little bit of confusion about what is and isn't antisemitic or bigoted...
I've seen DUers that seem to be just as confused as these guys on what does or doesn't constitute antisemitism, so I thought I'd start off a list that could be added to...

* US pressure on Nutty on the settlements is NOT antisemitic...

4. What is Likud's way? Endless fucking war, obviously.
And tragically, they aren't the only ones with that disease.

5. The Likuds in Israel are almost as far right as "Palinistas" are in the US.

8. Ugh. Well, Nachman and Naim represent places in the OTs so they have a vested interest

Also lots of internal politics seem to be involved. '"This is the way of Rabin, Barak, Meretz, and the Left."' WTF! - and like many extremists he seems to be lumping some very different types together. I don't see much in common between Meretz and Barak, at least as he is nowadays! And comparing Netanyahu with *any* of them!- reminds me of the RW American nuts who thought Bush was too moderate.

I do wonder what Rahm Emmanuel would think of the description of 'the Obama regime' as 'anti-Jewish and anti-semitic'!

9. He wouldn't say something this silly unless he thought it would play to his constituency.
