Palestinians denied access to water
---

Amnesty International, said in a report released last month, Israel is denying Palestinians adequate access to clean, safe water while allowing almost unlimited supplies to Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank.

Israel's daily water consumption per capita is four times higher than the 70 litre per person consumed in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, according to the report entitled: Troubled waters - Palestinians denied fair access to water.

"Swimming pools, well-watered lawns and large irrigated farms in Israeli settlements ... stand in stark contrast next to Palestinian villages whose inhabitants struggle even to meet their domestic water needs," the human rights group said.

Israel's water authority called the report "biased and incorrect, at the very least" and said that while there is a water gap, it is not nearly as big as presented by Amnesty.

4. You do realise access to water is a basic human right?
You also don't seem to understand that the West Bank is occupied territory and Israel as the occupier is responsible for the welfare of the Palestinians living there, which includes access to water. I don't know what sort of fucked up world you live in where access to fresh water is dictated by how much each individual can pay, but here where water is even more scarce than in Israel and the Occupied Territories, water is free (homeowners pay a small amount in rates, and you pay through the nose for tap water in nightclubs, but apart from nightclubs it's free)...

it's not paranoia when they really are out to get you.

this form of antisemitism is every bit as bad as any other form of hate.

"I have yet to hear what the flaws of the report are. I'd be happy to respond if I know what they are." (Oct 22, 2009)

:eyes:

You realize the "flaws" of his report were reported shortly after Sept 15, 2009?

Goldstone, AI, the World Bank, etc.... all do this because they can and they know they can get away with it.
