'War criminal go home,' Brazil protesters shout at Peres
Dozens of protesters in Sao Paulo demonstrated Thursday against President Shimon Peres' visit to Brazil and Israel's actions in Gaza.

"War criminal, go home" the protesters shouted at Peres as he arrived in the city to give speak at a conference of local industrialists. Some of demonstrators held signs equating Peres with Hitler; others waved Lebanese and Palestinian flags.

Earlier Thursday, Peres with the world-renowned Brazilian soccer player Ronaldo, and invited him to visit Israel for a friendly soccer match between Israeli and Palestinain children. The famed soccer player, who formerly played for the Brazil's national soccer team and Spanish soccer team Real Madrid, previously visited the region for a soccer match organized by the Peres Center for Peace.

Ronaldo presented the president with a signed T-shirt of his current soccer team Corinthians, baring the player's number 9.

2. I don't agree with these protesters but I'm sure they do not condone
the killing of these children you mentioned. It is nice to see you come here and fight generalizations but you have no problems generalizing others.

3. I hope that is a piece of sarcasm, and intended to satirize the stereotyping of Israelis

If you really mean it, perhaps you need to look in the mirror before attacking others for their stereotyping.

I have some very good Brazilian friends, and, if only for their sake, cannot let such a comment pass.

The protesters, however simplistic and wrong-headed their views might be, were not violent and did not support killing anyone. In any case, they were not there to represent 'Brazil'. Peres was on a state visit to Brazil; i.e. the Brazilian government were welcoming him as a guest.

5. What simplistic and wrong-headed views?
That little snake Peres got the reception that his career as a liar and murderer has earned. If the Brazilian government was welcoming him, then it would be their views that are wrong-headed.

6. Equating Peres with Hitler for example
'Godwinizing' usually detracts from the real points that one is trying to make.

7. Well yes, people are really, really lazy about that
Nonetheless, President Grapes of Wrath received a small bit of the response quite appropriate for his presence.

8. Argentina protesters to Peres: You deserve Nobel for murder
<snip>

"Thousands of people in Buenos Aires protested against President Shimon Peres' visit to Argentina on Monday, some of whom carried a banner telling the octogenarian he deserved a Nobel Prize for murder.

The banner referred to 1994 Nobel Peace Prize, which Peres won together with former prime minister Yitzhak Rabin and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat for the peace talks that resulted in the Oslo Accords."
