Berlin court: German Peace Council is allowed to use Hamas symbols
A court in the German capital struck down an administrative ban on Hamas flags, clothing and banners on Friday, but left in place the ban on invoking Hamas Foreign Minister Mahmoud Zahar's call to murder Israeli children worldwide.

The decision paved the way for supporters of the Islamist movement to march in anti-Israeli rallies on Saturday with pro-Hamas paraphernalia.

The German Peace Council and the Palestinian community in Berlin prevailed in their effort to revoke the administrative order issued by Ehrhart Körting, the Social Democratic Party commissioner for security in Berlin, that banned use of Hamas flags.

However, the court prohibited calls to murder Israelis at the demonstrations.

Ok, you can carry this, but cannot say that.. you can wear this, but don't even try to think that! What the fuck are people doing, asking the State to govern individual behavior? I'd like to think of it as a crazy German thing (even forgetting completely this particular subject matter), but this seems to be catching on, especially in England. Thankfully my beloved Amerikaaners aren't stupid enough to have the courts decide things for us, we have Unreality TV to tell us what is real and what to think.

2. Did Zahar call for the murder of Israeli children worldwide or Jewish children worldwide?
Do you have a link to his statement?

5. It was posted here as an OP. I'm not going to look for it.
What he said was that the Gaza op "legitimized" killing Jewish children worldwide, IIRC. A point that is arguable only if you think the killing of children in Gaza is "legitimate" too, IMHO. I'm not into the eye-for-an-eye stuff. So I vote for neither myself, i.e. all killing of children is "illegitimate". It has the virtue of consistency.

6. Found it - thanks
Seemed kind of vague - 'their own children'

Although I still cannot find his entire statement - just the bits and pieces quoted in various articles.

9. It was a stupid statement:
"The Zionists have legitimized the killing of their children by killing our children," he said.

10. Some sources have him going on about Jewish schools and synagogues
But they are pretty RW sources so I would prefer to find his whole speech printed somewhere to see exactly what he said.

His son was killed in this conflict, I believe.

11. Sound thinking, but with the dead kid, you can't expect him to be dispassionate. nt
