Sarkozy: Hamas to blame for Gaza suffering
French President Nicolas Sarkozy told three Lebanese newspapers that Hamas bore "a heavy responsibility for the sufferings of the Palestinian people" and that its rocket attacks had to stop.

Sarkozy's comments will be published on Monday, the same day he arrives in Israel as part of the French and European effort to broker a cease-fire to end the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

1. in same article: "The French president also condemned the Israel Defense Forces"
"The French president also condemned the Israel Defense Forces ground offensive and urged Israel to let humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. "

Neither side is innocent.

2. And we wonder why some people over there hate us so much?

We're all the same to the Arab world. There's no hope for peace.

There would be no Hamas if the Palestinians were never forced to grow up in open air prisons tucked away on the frontiers of Israel.

3. Nice selective quoting from the article?
Similar to "scrubbing the title" you accused someone else of doing earlier... nice.

5. In I/P you can post the whole article
You don't need to stick with the 4 paragraph rule of LBN, so feel free :)

6. Too late. Here's the gist of it.
The French president also condemned the Israel Defense Forces ground offensive and urged Israel to let humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

How France, which formally handed over the EU presidency at midnight on Dec. 31, plans to help broker a cease-fire remains unclear, but Sarkozy appears to be counting on his personal influence with both Israel and Arab leaders to help.
