Arab media: Shalit wounded in bombing
http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3646198,00.html">Arab media: Shalit wounded in bombing

Egyptian television quotes website affiliated with Hamas claiming that 'Zionist soldier Gilad Shalit was injured in one of the Air Force attacks in Gaza'. Hamas sources make similar remarks, while others believe report part of psychological warfare.

Kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit was injured in one of the Air Force strikes in Gaza, Egyptian television reported Sunday night.

"There are reports that the Israeli soldier held by Hamas was injured in one of the Air Force strikes," the report said, quoting a website affiliated with Hamas.

Defense officials said in response that the report was a foreseen manipulation, and that the Shalit family was asked to prepare for it on the eve of the Israel Defense Forces operation.

Probably was being held in one of those police stations or prisons that was bombed.. That last part completely contradicts a statement from the father linked and quoted in this very same piece; relevant portion:

Noam Shalit: I was not informed of operation
"As can be expected, we're following events in Gaza with great anxiety, but we have no comment at this time," he said. He added that he had not been informed of the government's intention to launch the operation.

1. So, they are preparing to kill him and blame the Israelis.
Sounds about right.

2. What difference does it make?

If he dies in this conflict, what does it matter which side did the actual killing? Do we get to stop when there is an even number of graves?

3. It matters in that it would just be another political ploy used against Israel.
It matters in that it would be another opportunity for terrorists to get "props" from anti-Semites and Israel-hating bigots. It would be another card for the far left fringe to play against Israel. Basically, it plays into destroying Israel by Hamas and its supporters, but using useful idiots and bigots.

6. Or maybe he is already dead; and this provides an excuse to blame the Israelis.
I hope not, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for his being alive, or having been so for some time.

7. You'd have the nerve to whine about it? 300+ Gazans dead count for nothing
compared to one Jewish Israeli soldier?
