Tali Fahima: Zakariya Zubeidi is Israeli security service's whore
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1005273.html
----

Tali Fahima, a Jewish Israeli woman who was tried and convicted for her contacts with Zakariya Zubeidi, former Jenin chief of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, criticized Zubeidi on Thursday, saying that he had turned into the "whore of the Shin Bet security service."

Fahima referred to Zubeidi's recent request that the Shin Bet allow him leave the West Bank city of Jenin and undergo eye surgery in Ramallah

The Shin Bet had removed Zubeidi from its most wanted list in a gesture to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas last year, along with other militants who turned in their weapons
___________

just to clarify....the deal was that the PA police would move into Jenin and the various groups would give up their arms, inorder so that a single armed group loyal to govt (the PA) would then take control and stop the chaos in the city..... Israel agreed not to chase those who gave up their weapons. A small step toward reducing the chaos and moving toward a settlement.

What we see with Talis remarks is classic. The nice lefty/progressive who doesnt live under the occupation, criticizes those who not just live under it, but fought it as well, and decided to make some steps toward co -existence, by letting the PA take control.....for some any move toward co-existence is "treason"

about the PA's "control"

The West Bank city of Jenin has been officially handed over to Palestinian control, but the Israeli army still goes in to arrest and assassinate militants.

but getting in their way, Palestinian officials charge, is an ongoing series of Israeli army raids here, in nearby Nablus, and elsewhere in the West Bank. While uniformed Palestinian police may look as if they're in control by day, when the clock strikes midnight, the Israeli army comes out to arrest and sometimes assassinate militants on its wanted list.

"The impact of such a situation is that the Israelis come in to shoot and to arrest, and this makes us lose credibility because people feel that we can't protect them," says Lt. Yaeesh Danoof, who oversees a key checkpoint leading into Jenin, as his men watch for unlicensed guns and stolen cars.

what is even stranger is the "sympathy" shown Zubeidi's needing surgery on an eye most likely injurd by a bomb meant to kill Israeli's

Zakaria's face is disfigured by fragments of shrapnel from a bomb that he mishandled in 2003.

As for Talis herself perhaps he should live in or at least visit Jenin "can't" imagine why she doesn't, can you Pelsar?
