Edited on Wed Oct-15-03 12:49 AM by bemildred
I guess Switzerland gets bombed next ...

The government is furious with Switzerland over its
sponsorship of the Geneva Accord, the symbolic
draft peace agreement drawn up by former senior
Israeli and Palestinian officials, Israel Radio
reported Wednesday.

Israel has condemned the draft
accord as an attempt to
undermine the government and
subvert its policies.

The radio quoted unnamed senior
officials as saying that "It
cannot be that figures who do
not represent any body, and
certainly not the government,
become involved in something like this, and
surely the Swiss government cannot officially
sanction or host such a thing."

Switzerland said Monday that that it had been
helping Israeli and Palestinian politicians in
their effort to draw up an alternative peace
plan for the Middle East for the past two
years. Swiss officials voiced hope that the
Quartert and appealed for wider international
support.

3. So they're saying what, negotiation is an act of war?
I've gotta try that in science fiction writing. It'll really horrify people.
