"Hard left" academics latest anti-Semites, says Dershowitz – "and many of them are Jews."
<snip>

"Described by many as "peripatetic," Harvard University Law Professor Alan Dershowitz was true to that Aristotelian view of the world when as part of his 20 some minutes of remarks he offered a single, quietly powerful statement:

"To be a Jew in this world is never to be able to say that it’s over," he said.

He said it to the nearly 1,000 persons who came to hear him as the first speaker in the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL) annual lecture series, held Wednesday at the Boca West Country Club.

And indeed during his time behind the microphone Dershowitz taught, cajoled, chided, embraced, thundered, and – well, was Alan Dershowitz -- to the delight, and appreciation of all who attended.

The majority of his remarks focused on what he called a growing group of "hard left academics who hate Israel with a passion – and many of them are Jewish," he added.

Noam Chomsky leads that list, according to Dershowitz."

1. I used to respect this man immensely ...
... until I heard him talk about torture being justified.

In addition, Judaism is my religion - that doesn't mean that supporting Israel's political policies is an automatic extension of my religious beliefs, nor does it mean that as a Jew, I am obliged to unquestioningly do so.

People like Mr. Dershowitz should keep that in mind.

3. He Became Dead To Me When He Argued That It Was Okay To Kill Civilians
If they didn't heed the death threats - I mean "warnings" - issued by the Israelis during the Lebanese war.

4. If I say that Dershowitz is an ass
does that make me a Jewish anti-semite?

5. Here's the problem......
Jews are often dictated to by other Jews, and told what to feel, think, and how to vote, and are told if they don't do as such, they're "bad." I guess it's like any other cultural group.

8. Dershie is the dude who embraces those who blame the holocaust on Jews
Like Rev Hagee. Despite the fact that Hagee called the holocaust a result of "Jewish disobedience" to hagee's imaginary and vengeful and hateful god, dershie likes hagee... because hagee supports Israeli policies.
