The Israel Defense Forces have confirmed the successful testing of a long range missile which Israeli radio says is capable of carrying an "unconventional payload".


A short statement from the Israeli Defense Ministry said "A successful missile launch was carried out within the framework of examining rocket propulsion".

Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert reiterated on Monday that "all options" were open in preventing Iran from developing a nuclear deterrent.
