Palestinians fire rocket into Israel
JERUSALEM - Palestinian militants fired a rocket into Israel at dawn Thursday, the Israeli military said, a violation of a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.

The rocket landed in Nir Am, a kibbutz near the Gaza border, causing no casualties, the army said. No Palestinian group immediately took responsibility.

Since the Nov. 26 cease-fire took hold in the chaotic coastal territory, Palestinian militants have fired more than 20 rockets at Israel, according to the army's count, causing no casualties.

The cease-fire has also been marred by a string of incidents in which Israeli soldiers have shot Palestinians approaching the heavily guarded Gaza-Israel border. On Wednesday, troops killed a 22-year-old Fatah militant along the border fence. The incidents have not derailed the truce.

1. I'm surprised there hasn't been an incident like this sooner
given how frequently Israel has been violating the cease fire.

5. a little note....
the palestenians in gaza never stopped firing kassams...perhaps your not up to date....it was a one sided cease fire despite the "agreement"..israel left gaza (again) stopped firing and attacking....the kassams never stopped.

I guess to some a ceasefire means israel stops and the palestenians get to keep on trying to kill israelis....

6. a little note.
Israel has been violating the cease fire since day-one, as the article briefly mentions. This was a one-sided cease fire, but you have the sides backwards.

7. not good on dates and details i see...
the article, in fact doesnt mention dates.....perhaps you can direct me to you claim...it should be simple:
Israel has been violating the cease fire since day-one.....which date was "day one"..and what exactly were israeli violations?

i realize you have no answer, as you just made it up, and my question will probably cause you embarrassment and cause the thread to end...but you can at least have the courtesy of answering....

8. You're opinionated but ignorant, I see.
Even this article mentioned the ongoing attacks. "The cease-fire has also been marred by a string of incidents in which Israeli soldiers have shot Palestinians approaching the heavily guarded Gaza-Israel border."

Anyone who has been following the news has been aware that the murder of people in Gaza never ceased.

My, aren't you the one who should be embarrassed. :eyes:

2. Can you imagine living in either one of those countries?
It's constant war.

They stop fighting long enough to start a new strategy.

3. Jimmy Carter said there have been no missiles fired by Palestinians since the cease-fire
The other night on Tavis Smiley... I guess he was wrong?
