Medics: IDF kills 3 militants in Gaza; Islamic Jihad leader dies of wounds

Israel Defense Forces troops killed three Palestinian gunmen on Wednesday during an operation in a militant stronghold in Gaza City, Palestinian medics said.

Earlier this week, IDF troops and the Shin Bet security service discovered an underground tunnel near Karni crossing in the northern Gaza Strip.

The tunnel was 150 meters long and located at a depth of 13 meters underground, lead from a house near the crossing. Military and security sources said the tunnel was intended for use in a terror attack.

Also Wednesday, Hussam Jaradat, a top Islamic Jihad leader in the West Bank, died in Jordan after being wounded in clashes with IDF troops last week, Palestinian medical officials said.
