Syria warns against international troops on their border - or could the article have been titled - Keeping the supplies flowing to Hezbollah?

BEIRUT, Lebanon - Syria's president has said in TV interview that he would consider the deployment of international troops along the Lebanon-Syria border a "hostile" move toward Syria.

1. Couldn't it also be a reflection of Assad's view of

Lebanese sovereignty?

They're sovereign, but Syria dictates what they can agree to, and who they can authorize to be on Lebanese territory. To do less would be to diss the bad-Assad Bashar and deny Arab honor and dignity.

That, and the other thing, too. Since Hezb is Syria's way of supporting "true" Lebanese sovereignty. "True" in the obvious meaning "as we want it to suit our goals".

2. For cease fire to be effective - must stop arms - or we have a pause

It seems like for a cease fire to be effective, that the arms shipments to Hezbollah have to be stopped - otherwise we have a pause.

.......maybe he US should suspend arms shipments to Israel, hmmmm?
