After the war: scandals rock Israel
JERUSALEM (Reuters) - The president is locked in a sex scandal, the justice minister is quitting over a purported stolen kiss, the prime minister is haunted by a property deal and the country's top general is under fire for stock trading.

Welcome to Israel, after the war.

With a ceasefire in Israel's bitter battles with Lebanese Hizbollah guerrillas in effect for nearly a week, Israeli media have turned the spotlight on a series of scandals.

No criminal charges have been filed in any of the cases. But suspicions of sleaze at the top have darkened the public mood in Israel, where many have begun to question their leaders' conduct of a costly month-long conflict in Lebanon.

1. You must remember this
A kiss is still a kiss, A sigh is just a sigh; The fundamental things apply, As time goes by

A "stolen kiss" no less - couldn't resist that. :)

11. I say that to people
in conext of how easy it should be to do something. It's when I can see they are struggling to dance to swing music - I suggest they try actually listening to the music. :)

5. That's one hell of a distraction!

Causing destruction to a sovereign state to the tune of $3 billion!

where the elected officials are expected to act in accordingly...and if they dont......no matter what your position, no matter how much power or how much a hero one was in the past......ethical behavior is demanded by the israel public.

so few countries can boast such process....

a country designed by `zionists"

“Respect is a Zionist-free party,” she declared at a meeting earlier this year. “If there was any Zionism in the Respect Party, they would be hunted down and kicked out. We have no time for Zionists.”---- Yvonne Ridley Feb 16, 2006

4. Yay, I get a response from 'Ignored'!1!
Aka, the Resident 'Peacenik'. It's a shame I can't see what the response is, but I bet it involves
an eg of a fantastical fantasy, or an eg of up-is-downism, or an 'explanation' of how the war
criminals who are currently part of the Israeli govt should be supported by all right-thinking
patriots. Oh yeah, I bet there's mention of perfidious Brits, as well. :)

"ethical behavior is demanded by the israel public"

The perfidious Brits appear to have dodged the bullet this time, although Galloway's party takes a lashing.

8. Thanks, be.
I think Galloway would be flattered by the importance placed on his one-man-band, it's amazing how
a party that has only 1 MP & hardly any other representatives should be considered to be the cause
of the collapse of Western Civilisation, & worthy of a kicking, regardless of whether mention of the
party is relevant. I've no idea how a thread about domestic Israeli 'corruption' & minor scandals
should warrant a mention about an obscure British political party. Personally, I voted for the Lib
Dems at the last General Election.

9. Galloway swells up and preens like a rooster whenever attention
is directed his way, an ego of magnificent proportions.
He is, however, fun to watch, when dealing with lesser
minions of the state propaganda organs.
