Israeli war planes, drones, fly over Lebanon
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=2f35be6862c9e4e3

Less than a week after agreeing a ceasefire, Israel was being accused Friday of invading Lebanese airspace.

Lebanon military sources said Israel Air Force fighter planes, helicopters, and drones were flying over Lebanon's eastern Bekaa Valley on Friday night, near the Hezbollah stronghold of Baalbek.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to release information to reporters, said there had been anti-aircraft fire to drive off the aircraft.

Lebanon's Prime Minister Fouad Siniora telephoned United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan to object to, 'the continued violation of our Lebanese airspace by Israeli aircraft.'

Word is that Israel is watching that Syria doesn't rearm Hezzbohlah
I don't think this ceasefire is going to last long!!!

1. Lebanese sources: IAF attacked Hezbollah stronghold

Israeli aircraft fired several rockets at a target in a Hezbollah stronghold in eastern Lebanon early on Saturday morning, a Lebanese security source said.

2. Different source, different stories
From another site:

The `security source` reports:"The source said that the Israeli jets and drones had come under anti-aircraft fire but had not been hit and had not opened fire themselves."

Ok, so Israel says it did no strikes - it did not deny overflying Lebanon.

The Lebanese paper reports strikes and anti-aircraft fire,

Al-Jazeera reports anti-aircraft fire and no strike.

Ah, truth, what an illusion.

Synthesis: Israel is doing aerial reconnaissance. There might have been some SA fire. There most likely was not any return fire.

3. Please correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Israel violating
Lebonese air space all ready make it null and void. I can not believe that this last Israeli flair up turned me against Israel (at 46, might have stayed in the game too long), but on C-span it has become apparent that I am not in the minority.

Israel jumped the the shark with 39 civilian deaths to well over a 1000, Lebonese!

4. From what I can gather Israel is not allowing Syria to rearm
Hezbahlah so word is Bush gave the Ok for Israel to fire on border convoys near Syria

that the Lebaneese troops movement is a decoy for Hezzbahlah to get more weapons...

In otherwords this ceasefire is a frickin joke... These poor people...

sovereign nation's air space seems to be a big problem, and yes, after the last skirmish started, I became aware that that is Status Pro Quo for Israel. That is not an acceptable situation and the US and Israel are finding out how incredibly inane that stance has been!

We and they are becoming Status Pro Quo Solo! (Please forgive me, I only had 1 year of Latin, what a boring language, after French and Spanish).
