1. That immigration officer was WRONG!
They've been doing it far longer than just three years.

How did the immigration officer know that they had served in the territories? That point is entirely uncontested in the story so I'm assuming it's true.

"We gave our passports to the officer, and when she saw we are Israelis she asked for ID cards. We told her we don't understand why we need ID cards and she responded shouting: 'You know very well how to ask Palestinians for IDs and humiliate them for three years."

Smack-down to the Israelies. Get used to it until you can elect a Liberal government. Maybe get some faked documents that don't show military service. I hear there was a pretty good place in New Zealand where some sayanim will be glad to help you out.

"I don't look like a terrorist and there is no reason to point a gun at me," Nimrod Lahav wrote in a letter to ambassador Tamir.

Well, I wonder how this child feels?

8. I don't see why not- we're doing worse to the Iraqis currently than...
...the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians. We're still money to the Fijians though and sadly that probably buys, literally, the U.S. more sympathy than Israel.

Israeli passports don't show whether or not you were in the military, much less where.

As for how she knew - you'll notice that according to the quote, she did not accuse them of personally serving in the military.

4. I think this is great.
It's about time the world started to voice their displease with the Israeli government. And this non-violent way to do it is perfect.

It's in the news, and maybe they will realize that public support is going to the Palestinians and their cause, and it will open up a dialogue for people to talk about Israel's treatment of the Palestinians.

10. Where in the Geneva Convention does it make illegal collective...
...punishment against a country's military?

If they were in the IDF violating the Geneva convention, they are guilty.

7. By Muslim immigration officer.
For whom Muslim allegiance is more important than Fijian law. Leave that out, and it sounds humanitarian. Not tribal.

I love tribalism and communalism in all its forms. And those that support it. No need to actually have evidence against a person; you have evidence against a group, and the first individuals that come along get punished. So progressive. So democratic.

For 75k BCE. Maybe. In the more backwards areas of the world, like Europe.
