Interesting too, in that we give Turkey almost as much military aid $$ as we do Israel.

Bush, Bolton and Condi-- once again your foreign diplomacy sucks bilgewater.

2.  Turkish Protest
(IsraelNN.com) Turkey has cancelled the second part of a deal with Israel to upgrade F-4 jets and will buy 30 F-16's from the United States instead, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al Kawas. In the first part of the deal, 54 airplanes were upgraded at a cost of 800 million dollars, over the last five years.

It was also reported that Turkey has prevented American planes from taking off from the Incirlik airbase in southern Turkey with military supplies for Israel in protest of what the newspaper called "aggression in Lebanon and Palestine".

3. Is that why our planes were having to go through Scotland? Ireland
rejected them and now Turkey. Very curious. Why would they go against the US since they get so much money from us? Plus we help them in other ways.

Strange to me...but maybe someone knows a little more info. :shrug;
