Palestinians: Parliament speaker seized
RAMALLAH, West Bank - Israeli forces arrested the speaker of the Palestinian parliament at his house early Sunday, Palestinian officials said.

The officials — the director of the speaker Abdel Aziz Duaik's office and security officers — said about 20 Israeli army vehicles surrounded the house of Duaik, a member of Hamas, and took him into custody.

The Israeli military had no immediate comment.

5. I Don't Get It.
Let's see.

It is a cause for war, for the destruction of southern Lebanon, for the killing of hundreds and hundreds of civilians including children -- because two or three IDF soldiers are "kidnapped".

So, Israel "arrests" or "seizes" or "kidnaps" the Speaker of the Palestinian parliament and the world is supposed to think that is okay?

This is Israel's big problem -- total and complete hypocrisy and a double standard -- for what they do.

It indicates to me that Israel is just plain not interested in peace, they want to 'break' and subdue the Palestinian people completely.

What little sympathy I had for Israel is rapidly disappearing because this regime of Olmert's behaves just like our very own Bush regime -- might makes right -- 'we' can do whatever 'we' want and when 'we' do it it is different than when someone else does the exact samething.

19. Why do you deny the Holocaust?
Because unless, you can point to where Israel has killed and tortured 6 million people of a different race, logically you must deny the Holocaust.

10. Anyone who thinks Israel wants peace is deluded.
And this is just more proof of it. They are out to destabilize the entire region so that their military advantage makes them the undisputed bully of the region.
