Hezbollah: Fired Rockets At Israel Bases In Golan Heights

BEIRUT (AP)--Hezbollah said in a statement that its militants fired "tens of rockets" Thursday afternoon at two Israeli military bases in Syria's Israeli- occupied Golan Heights.

The statement said one of the bases housed Israeli artillery and the other stored armored vehicles.

The group also said it had foiled three attempts by Israeli troops to press deeper into Lebanon, and that its guerrillas destroyed two enemy tanks.

"A Zionist armored force tried to advance toward the village of Chihine. The Mujahedeen (holy warriors) confronted it and destroyed two Merkava tanks. Confrontation is still raging," the group said in a statement broadcast on the group's Al Manar television.

And those tanks just happened to cross in front of the anti-tank weapon as Hezbollah terraists were aiming it at a ice cream/pizza parlor. The strike on the 2 tanks was purely accidental!

The pride and glory of the Israeli state. So I was watching a report on the pro-Bush, right-wing Lebanese station, LBC-TV. It was about the Israeli raid on Ba`albak. Basically, we learn this: an elite force of 300 Israeli soldiers were in pitch battle against 4 Hizbullah fighters FOR MORE THAN SEVEN HOURS. This reminds me of the good old days in Lebanon: when four Palestinian resistance fighters used to battle a force of 1000 Lebanese army soldiers. But the Israeli raid was a success, according to Israeli media. Not only did it net Hasan Dib Nasrallah, but a pregnant woman was killed on her way to the hospital for delivery. She was shot from the air by Israeli helicopters.
