Vandals torch car of police officer who headed Amona evacuation

Vandals torched and destroyed the car of the police commander of the January evacuation of the West Bank outpost of Amona, in an arson attack next to the commander's home in Shoham late Tuesday night.

Brigadier General Meir Bukovza, deputy commander of the Samaria and Judea district police, was the on-site commander of the evacuation, which quickly turned into a scene of runaway violence.

Following the attack, police began reevaluating warnings of various threats made to officers who had senior command roles in the disengagement and the Amona evacuation.

2. this is "payback time"....

israel, the state is now getting payed back for aiding in the education of religious fanatics....how the police deal with them will have a large influence on the society...for a long time.

I personally would like to seem them given community work jobs in either the galil or in the negev where they can help the non jewish minorities, because they sure arent fit for the IDF.

And it's not like I don't sympathize. One of the thornier issues in resolving I/P peaceably is there are nuts on both sides that won't be satisfied without a bloodbath. I do think public service work with the bedouin would be perfect for them.

4. I wonder what kind of help they are getting from the Israeli govt.

to relocate. I know Gaza settlers recieved massive sums, even then some ended up relocating to the West Bank.
It would have been wise for the US govt. to say that we will not provide aid for this, it is Israel's mess, we need the funds to help people in New Orleans to rebuild.

Why should we help these extremists?

5. Police arrest right-wingers inciting against senior IDF officer
