Gaza militants condemn disorder
The main Palestinian militant groups in Gaza have issued a joint statement calling on the government to end lawlessness in Palestinian territory.
The statement condemned the recent abductions of foreigners and attacks on government buildings in the area.

On Wednesday, two Egyptian soldiers were killed after militants bulldozed through Gaza's border fence with Egypt.

They were demanding the release of a militant arrested for kidnapping three British citizens last week.

British aid worker Kate Burton, her father Hugh, and her mother Helen, were abducted near the Rafah border crossing on 28 December.

1. This is fatal to serious entrepreneurship in Gaza and the WB
Productive investment does not seek out disorder. Oh well, you can have disorder, and tell the proletariat that the lack of investment is caused by the evil Israelis - and that the home grown disorder has nothing to do with it.

2. It is so sad. I wonder if homo sapiens is EVER gonna wise
up?

I was glad to hear about the Turkish investment and I hope more will follow. But it will be hard to attract $ if there isn't basic law and order.

Also, I hope this isn't changing the subject too much but I'm very concerned about the situation in Jordan - the British, the Canadian and the Australian embassies have been closed due to fears of imminent terrorist attacks.

This is very bad.

3. And when the "war risk premium" kills investment in WB and Gaza
we will see the usual Rothschild and Protocols and Jewish Bankers Cabal stuff.

Ladies and gentlemen, girls and boys, children of all ages - step right up -- this is actually what happened to the inner cities and inner city businesses and investment after the US urban riots of the late 1960's.

5.  The situation is far more serious. The government
is about collapsing from lack of money. There was a dog and pony show with the Turks giving or donating 5 mill for some redevelopment in the news this past week. I believe it was for Gaza. That is not much money at all in the grand scheme of things. Abbas, though, is scrambling for any money he can get now. I think a lot of the investors or donor nations are looking at this constant Palestinian strife and chaos and pulling back on the moohla. I read it somewhere, the actual $ figures being rescinded and don't know what I did with the link. The PA is just about bankrupt and they need some donors but fast (per Erekat with Wolf Blitzer this morning in an interview).

4. So which faction or sub- factions of the major and minor
militant or political groups are doing the dirty deeds, such as the kidnappings, the threats to the news agencies, the Gaza border fence incident, etc. Is this another show similar to the many ones Abbas does condemning various acts of aggression. The only thing here that will tell me the answer is if in the next few weeks and beyond there are no more kidnappings, attacks on government buildings, attacks on reporters, etc.

They seem to realize world opinion is turning against them.

6. its called growing up....
reminds me of a spoiled kid that threw a tantrum everytime he wanted something and the "parents"gave in everytime.....well now the kid has turned "21" and has to get a job, become responsable...

he was never taught that....

and every psychiatrist will say that the solution is not to give in, eventually the kid will (well its not guaranteed) open his eyes and start to understand his new situation.

of course an additional problem lies, that that "kid" keeps on trying to kill its neighbor with missles...and the "neighbor" doesnt like waiting to be killed
