Woman in jail after firing gun at neighbor, 76
"FRIENDSWOOD — A woman remained jailed Monday on a felony assault charge after police accused her of knocking on the door of her 76-year-old neighbor and firing a handgun at her, authorities said Monday."

“It seems like it’s a long-standing issue between this lady and her neighbor, but I don’t think the 76-year-old lady had any long-standing issues with her,” Wieners said. “There’s no explainable reason why the event should have occurred.”

2. ah, who knows, who can tell
Wieners didn’t know how Starling came into possession of a handgun, but she had one at her house, he said.

... “Based on her previous history and the information available to police, we contacted the county mental health officials, and the matter has been referred to them for follow up,” Wieners said.

Just another person with a dangerous-to-others mental disorder who somehow managed to get a handgun. Who knows how?? It could have been legally.

So maybe now she'll be committed for psychiatric care and go into a database and not be able to purchase a handgun legally ever again.

That'll fix things.

3. Reminds me of a older lady that lives near me ...
She bought a Taurus Judge for self defense in her home. It can chamber either .410 shotgun shells or .45 colt ammo. The weapon got its name from the fact that many judges carry it in their courtroom for protection.

She decided to take it into the courthouse to show her new weapon to the judge.

He promptly appropriated it and called her son who lives in a different city. The Judge gave the Judge to the son for safe keeping.

Unfortunately it seems that the lady has a problem with enjoying alcohol a little too much. She's nice and very talkative but my grandsons nick named her the Crazy Lady.

here is an update on the U of I professor, "Friends of Bustamante confirmed Bustamante owned multiple handguns and was afflicted with multiple personality disorder, the affidavit states. In an interview with "close friend" Rowdy Hope, he said Bustamante’s personalities included one he called a "psychopathic killer" and another "the beast," the affidavit states.

In an interview with Emma Gregory, one of Benoit’s roommates, she told detectives Benoit had claimed Bustamante "had pointed a handgun at her on multiple occasions and put the gun in her mouth at one point." http://www.dnews.com/breaking-news/1793/
