Randon Reid Accused Of Shooting At Airplane (Bonus: Photo of Gun Owner)
Gun owner:

Police in Arizona have locked up a man who allegedly shot an airplane while it was parked in a Phoenix airport -- then fled police at breakneck speeds as he drove away from the crime scene.

At around 1:30 a.m. on May 29, officers patrolling near Deer Valley Airport heard gunfire and raced toward the sound of the shots.

"The officers observed a vehicle speed away from the area," Phoenix Police spokesman Steve Martos told AZCentral. "Officers obtained a license plate and attempted a traffic stop." But the suspect -- later identified as 26-year-old Randon Reid -- didn't slow down.

Police eventually apprehended Reid in his home and recovered two guns believed to be used in the shooting. Investigators scoured the crime scene and found two shell casings on the ground and one bullet hole in the plane.

2. His mother warned him that his face would freeze that way
But he didn't listen and now his mug shot shows what can really happen when you don't listen to your mother.

thank god that the 2nd Amendment is alive and well in AZ, or this guy might have had to stab the plane or beat it to death with a baseball bat.

5. New NRA poster boy?
the caption can read, would you deny this man his second amendment rights? ;)

(Oh, come on gunners, it is a bit amusing...At least he appears to be just "looney" and not an actual serial killer--at least as far as we know)

12. Of course, it's also a bit amusing to see DUers getting so much glee from one of Joe Arpaio's
Mugshots of the Day, isn't it? ;)

14. That was my first thought.
It's a total violation of rights...until it's something they can use...

22. I do believe a 1911 was used to shoot down a plane during WWII
I believe it was a mitsubishi zero that was strafing some American pilots parachuting to the ground. One of the pilots grabbed his 1911 sidearm and shot the pilot as he passed. I read it on some 1911 tribute website at one point.

15. As was stated a number of times in another thread by one of
our anti-gun members, he "allegedly" shot at the plane. Many here are too quick to be judge and jury just because of a story in the news. When he is convicted, then come on back and post.

I assume you are saying he is guilty by posting this here or are you becoming a drive-by news spammer like some others here?

19. See? This is why we need to ban .50-caliber sniper rifles.
They are the choice of terrorists (domestic AND international) to shoot down airplanes!

derp!
