I have to stop by the Town Office and the grocery store today
I will not be carrying a gun - concealed or otherwise - on my person or in my car.

I do not fear the outside world or my fellow citizens and leave my guns at home until hunting season opens.

and - I do not want to be around people who carry guns as a political statement, to prove their self-worth or as a fashion accessory.

that is all

yup

1. I just got back from the grocery store and I didn't take any of my guns either.
I DID however take my eldest daughter, a 2nd degree black belt.

5. A reason to leave the gun at home and take the daughter.
Also, bystanders across the street, or those driving by on the street, will be safe from the daughter.

Why is that?

15. the hunting part is kinda iffy too actually, LOL.
I just stay away from people who obsess on guns, it's the best way not to get shot. I tell my girls no dating the gun guys. The easiest way for a girl to get shot is to have a relationship with a "protective" (jealous) guy with a gun.

Unless you are politically connected, an "A" list celebrity, or wealthy enough your servants have six figure salaries, you are not getting a concealed weapons permit in LA county.

you know - sensible stuff.

But if the morans want to bring their guns to church, that's fine with me, cuz the local churches here have schisms, falling outs and high holy drama all the time.

Someone may need a gun to protect themselves from the daemon-possessed that want to have female deacons in the church!!111

44. First -
- You can't. Those who carry concealed...well they don't all wear the same hat.

Second -
- Let me help you to think of something "more pathetic": "To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness. How unnatural. How cheap. How cowardly. How pathetic." - Ted Nugent

32. I'm glad that Florida passed a law that will stop local communities from
making their own gun laws. While this was never supposed to happen, some local communities violated the state law and created their own ordinances. The new law will impose fines on officials who do so.

Regulation of Firearms and Ammunition

CS/CS/CS/SB 402 (Negron) and CS/CS/CS/HB 45 (Gaetz) impose a financial penalty on governments, elected officials or staff that adopt policies or take action that violates the existing state law preemption of firearms regulation. City officials or employees who are found to have willfully and knowingly violated the preemption would be personally liable and for a fine of no more than $5,000. In addition, the bills expand the scope of the preemption to include storage of firearms and ammunition. Under the bills, an elected city official passing or a city employee enforcing an ordinance prohibiting guns in parks, discharging guns within city limits, or otherwise restricting guns would be personally liable as provided in the bills. CS/CS/CS/SB 402 was laid on the table by the Senate. CS/CS/CS/HB 45 was amended to match SB 402; CS/CS/CS/45 passed the House and the Senate and is awaiting action by the governor. (Cook)
http://www.floridaleagueofcities.com/Advocacy.aspx?CNID=5694

If every community were able to enact their own rules, legal concealed carry in Florida could eventually require a book the size of a telephone directory that listed all the local rules in order to travel around the state. Such foolish laws target honest citizens who have a concealed weapons permit and do nothing to deter those who choose to carry illegally.

"Choice" requires options, like the choice between "carry" and "don't carry." With no option, there can be no choice.

It's called "free will." I think it's in the Bible somewhere. You could look it up.
