California is the WORST state and Utah is the BEST state!

Rankings:

Full State Scorecard:
http://www.bradycampaign.org/xshare/stateleg/scorecard/2010/2010_scoring_system.pdf

You can use the Full State Scorecard to find out what your state needs to FIX to get a lower score. Great information!!

5. Stragely enough, the Brady state ratings don't correlate with any actual measurable data
Such as rates of violent crime, or of crimes involving firearms.

8. Well, three of their top four states are also high crime areas...
... but I suspect that's coincidental.

9. Meh, the 17 points my state got are all pretty much acceptable to me.
Big fat zeroes in all the stupid stuff.

I hope the open carry law helps deduct some points

16. Texas is working on getting rid of 4 of its points right now.
Edited on Wed May-04-11 09:24 PM by Hoopla Phil
We're trying to pass the gun in cars while at work and the campus carry right now. The car thing looks to pass but the campus carry has hit a snag. We're also working on open carry for those with CHLs too.

Not perfect but we're getting there. . .

19. MA is beyond salvation.
It's highly unlikely things will ever change for the better in this gulag.

2-3 more years until retirement, and I'm outt'a here.

Firearms and political issues aside, AZ is appealing for the weather... NH is appealing for maintaining my New England roots and proximity to family and friends.

Montana, Wyoming... well, they have a certain appeal also.

Bottom line... as long as it's a state that minds it's own fucking business and leaves me the fuck alone.

I could adapt, and hopefully be happier than I am with the current state of affairs.

20. Good to see...
my state places in the bottom 45 on that list. Just 2 points shy of being where it needs to be.
