CHL express lane in Austin
Just so you know , they have installed new equipment and security procedures in the state capitol with one of them being an express lane for state workers and CHLs . They can bypass the xray machines and the new gaussomatic 9000 metal detector . And it has caused quite the stir .

Personally I find this an affront to my sensibilities , as only government employees have the training , conditioning ,professionalism and mental attitude required to own or carry a weapon of any type .

1. Wow!
If I lived in this town; I wonder if you can negotiate a rebate on your property taxes to "Opt out" of police protection & protect yourself? I would feel much safer!

6. See , that's where we diverge
That is thievery , and allowing her gun to be stolen will likely result in her being paid to do this at home , or even a fat promotion

You set up the camera , squirt the appropriate cyanoacrylate IN the holster , wait one minute , squirt more on the outside and grip , then poke her in the ass with the stick yelling...... GRABBER GUN .....GRABBER GUN , then upload video for the viral win . Gluing the shoes to the sidewalk first might result in injuries leading to death in an obese diabetic so that's out along with THAY-YUFT .

UPDATED: Checkpoints open; guns OK in ‘express lane’

By Mike Ward | Friday, May 21, 2010, 08:12 AM

Without fanfare, the first step to airport-style security checkpoints were opened today at the four entrances to the Texas Capitol.

The public, visitors and lobbyists must walk through metal detectors and have their purses and briefcases searched. In coming weeks, their belongings will have to go through X-ray machines yet to be installed that will complete the new screening procedures.

State employees can walk around the checkpoint if they show a valid state ID, as can Texans who carry a concealed pistol with a permit.

It’s perhaps the only public building in the country where pistol-packing average Joes can walk through security undeterred. The express lane for gun owners is clearly marked: “CHL Holders.”
