4. You have remember one thing
For a conservative redneck it's all about the "size" of his gun, that's all that matters, even if he cant shot it, as long as his is bigger than the other guys!

5. I remeber at the last gun show I was at
I saw this 400 pound hog beast decked out in Woodland camo with a olive drab keffiyeh. I thought to myself "Damn, that mother fucker looks ridiculous."

6. Not just any .60 caliber...that's .600 Nitro Express
Edited on Sat Mar-27-10 04:35 PM by benEzra
i.e. a big-game-hunting rifle round that was developed in the early 1900's for elephant hunting, but fell out of favor because it was considered too powerful for the role (it would put down an elephant all right, but the rifles were impractically heavy and the recoil was astounding).

Chambering a handgun for that cartridge is insane...I suppose it's about bragging rights, although to be able to brag about it, you'd need to be able to shoot it without having it go sailing into the parking lot.

FWIW, here's a comparable cartridge in a rifle. This is .577 Tyrannosaur, which is roughly comparable in power to the .600 Nitro Express.

And some people who are a little more n00bish trying to shoot it...

There are reasons why shooters tend to prefer small- and intermediate-caliber rifles for target shooting...shooting the big ones can HURT!

7. You notice he was leaning away from
rather than *into* the shot. Not that it would have made much difference. Seems like that amount of recoil could actually fracture your wrist -- what do you all think?

I've seen this before, but it's funny every time!
