Would-Be Robber Runs When Victim Pulls Gun (Columbus, Ohio)
Edited on Thu Mar-18-10 08:01 AM by shadowrider
COLUMBUS, Ohio — A simple stop at an ATM ended when a local man pulled a gun on a would-be robber.

It occurred around 1 a.m. Tuesday at the Fifth Third bank at 1500 Morse Road, 10TV's Kevin Landers reported.

Erick Tehoke said he was sitting in his SUV with the window down, when the suspect walked up and told him to hand over all of his money.

Tehoke, a concealed carry weapons permit holder of three months, reached for his gun. The suspect ran.

"I have never had to pull my gun, ever," said Tehoke.

He credits his security guard training for not shooting the man. He said the suspect did not appear to have a weapon.

"I did not see anything that looked like a knife or looked like a gun it was just an instant reaction and I pulled my weapon," said Tehoke.

Police do not have any suspects.

You gotta love it. Story_atm_vigilante Maybe the guy at the ATM should have just handed everything over, then called the police IF the bad guy didn't harm him beforehand. At least then he wouldn't have been branded a "vigilante".

20. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.
There. The same thing is now said in a different way. Happy now?

12. You must live in Jacksonville.
Because that's pretty much our mantra around here. Except you're lucky to get a cop, they've decided to cut their force back and fill in more community service officer positions.

13. WTF!?
The URL "Story_atm_vigilante" that the OP pointed out.

I know that the story does not reflect that the individual was a vigilante. But perhaps their web guy needs to brush up on his vocabulary.

18. Or their deep seeded hatred for
the English language and it's vocabulary.

I do understand the hate for our language though. I mean come on! Trunk, trunk, trunk, trunk and trunk. We could not come up with 5 individual words, we had to label 5 distinctive things with the same word.
