8. Nope, only have a Remington VLS in .308
which is only a half assed bench rest. Stainless Colt for IWB carry in hot, sticky summer. Blued Colt I carry in a Wilson Combat stealth holster under a jacket or coat.

14. I change with the seasons, too
Interarms Walther PPK/s .380(and it is reliable) in summer.
SIG P220st in winter.
Both IWB, Walther "feels" more concealable under light clothes.

5. I would
if Maryland allowed. Some of the highest crime rates in the US.

6. No way, however...
I'd be interested to see poll results if poll was in GD and/or lounge

10. Don't forget Chicago, another safe place
Winner of the "Murder capital of the USA" 2 years in a row.

No legal carrying of any sort, unless you are a "super citizen like a copy or an alderman, then you don't even need a permit.

12. Thanks, Don
Of course we can also add SF, LA, Seattle and a host of others, but the point is made, so why bother/

20. Wait til New years eve!
Isn't it a tradition to fire the guns that the law prohibits into the air in celebration of New Years in Chicago?

15. Ya know
I noticed that as well. I also noticed that when Austrailia removed the right to bear arms from their citizens and took the gunsd away, the crime rate there tripled. Coincidence?

13. Probably not...
but I live in an area where I've never felt I needed that level of protection.

19. Location has nothing to do with it
I live in an area where I've never felt I needed that level of protection.

Where you live has no bearing on what can happen to you. Crime may happen more often in certain parts of town, but it is not exclusive only to those areas. I too live in an area of extremely low crime, but I carry everywhere I legally can.

16. I would
If MD allowed it without first requiring a death threat AND the "approval by whim" of the MD State Police.

Funny how 10 miles away in VA I was a "pillar of the community" and allowed to decide such matters for myself, but in the "Free State" :eyes: of MD I must beg permission from a central government before I may take minor steps to provide for my self defense beyond relying on that government for protection.

Meanwhile, I am licensed to carry in 28 or so states by virtue of my Utah and FL permits.

17. Occasionally carry
a CZ70 .32ACP, but around here, I really don't feel as an immediate of a need as I did living in Birmingham, AL. I mostly carry it if I walk downtown at night.

18. Carry every day.
I can't vote in the poll, but I've been a CCDW holder for about 8 years and carried open before that. It is a rare occurance to find me without a handgun on or about my person.

because I carry daily. My family is safer, because I carry daily. My country is safer, because I carry daily.

23. I look at the public safety issue differently than some
As long as you don't do anything that makes others LESS SAFE, I really don't care what kind of weapon you carry or where.
