Yes, the original report appears to have misidentified the shooter as a child

4. What was the 28 year old a--hole doing,
shooting target inside his trailer? You can't outlaw stupidity.

8. The error is quite understandable...
...given gun-controller "research" which defines "childhood" up to 20-years-old and higher; the better to force-fit their data.

I have always believed that the best way to ensure the safety of children is to teach them early-on about the proper, safe use of firearms, including firing and operating them.

Incidentally, the National Safety Council reports that childhood deaths which are the result of firearm discharge has over the last 15 years has been on a significant decline even as the number of guns in households has gone up. In fact, the "gun deaths" category has seen the biggest decline (both rate and real numbers) when compared with the other measured causes of accidental childhood death, like falling, electrocution, drowning.

If this trend is the result of more conscious safe practices by parents who have guns -- and I suspect it is -- then parents without guns would be advised to emulate what "gun parents" are doing.

7. +1
Also, I wonder of the OP spends as much time in car forums posting accounts of drunk driving or stupid behavior of people while operating a motor vehicle. Something tells me he/she does not.

10. It's very simple SteveM, it's plain old-fashioned prejudice
A set of negative preconceived notions about a person that struggle4progress has never met and really knows very little about.
