1. Heard a warning for deer hunters on the local radio
Today is the opening day of Minnesota firearm dear season. Most of the corn is still up in the field, so WCCO kindly reminded us that all those tall stalks of corn shaking in the field might be a hunter, not a buck.


About 5 more hours... maybe I'd better go donate blood... :-)

2. I'll be out next week end -- there will be plenty deer to go around...
Getting my van in good enough shape to make a hundred-mile trip! The rifle is printing 1" groups. Don't expect errant shots around me.

Nothing like it. Sitting beside cactus, enduring fire ants, flicking ticks, peering through a fence and brush over a field, waiting for that big one to get a little closer.
