Lawyer: Teen accused of killing Sadie Mitchell, 92, had 'rough life,' watched his father kill mother BY Dorian Block and Larry Mcshane DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS Friday, October 23rd 2009, 1:10 PM lawyer for a Bronx teen charged with murdering a 92-year-old woman portrayed his client as a victim who was abandoned after he watched his father kill his mother. Despite the heart-wrenching tale of woe, Jamal Blair, 18, was jailed without bail after a hearing Friday in Bronx Criminal Court. Defense lawyer Angelo MacDonald said that after Blair's father killed his mother in 1993, the dad fled and was never arrested. Blair "was sitting in the crib, and he stood there over his dead mother for at least a day," MacDonald told reporters. "To this day, it haunts him. He's had a rough life."
