she told us daughter and daughter's friend (about 9) ran away from her attacker, so we got the authorities involved pronto for search of mountain as storm was coming in.

Happy ending, and no, I have no links to prove anything. Nor do I care that many don't believe. ;)

Well, Im not sure what they would have taken otherwise, but instead, thanks to having a rifle on the wall, they just stole that and some other electronics. Frankly, I was very glad that gun kept a bad thing from happening, like our TV getting stolen. If it wasn't for the rifle, they may of had room for the gaming systems they overlooked (which we played while the police dusted the area).

The good news is that almost all our stuff was returned when the people were caught. Unfortunately, they already got rid of the gun and another item by then, so we never saw it again.

Frankly, I'm fucking sick of the spamming of the forum with every fucking piddling news story purely for the sake of pro- and anti- one-upmanship, and I'm unrecc'ing every thread of that nature that comes down the pike.
