on whether it was a civilian version of a military pipe.

Was it painted black, did it have tape wrapped around it to create a handle, thus making it far more dangerous? These are pertinent questions in a society that freely allows children to purchase assault pipes, which are silent, easily concealed and have no waiting period.

In fact I would wager there isn't a house in this country that doesn't contain at least one pipe, often multiple ones.
