Wave of child murders seen in Guatemala
Guatemala City - A group that campaigns for children's rights said on Monday that 373 people under the age of 23 have been killed in Guatemala's capital in the first half of this year.

"There are 2.6 murders of children and youths every day in Guatemala City alone and the numbers are increasing," said Bruce Harris, regional director for Casa Alianza.

"In other countries, politicians would be worried, but in Guatemala, nobody cares," he added in a news release issued by the organisation that is noted for protecting street children and seeking prosecution of child abusers.

Sorry, we spend our money on butchering not protecting children. God bless the Pope.
