Klein gets pie for breakfast - Premier Alberta Canada

Just as the Premier was beginning a speech, he was hit in the face with a banana cream pie.

Mr. Klein had just started to address the crowd and was commenting on what a great job Agriculture Minister Shirley McClellan was doing with the mad-cow crisis when a man, who appeared to be in his 20s, hit Mr. Klein with the pie.

The man was tackled by members of the public as he tried to get away.
Mr. Klein, who hosts the flapjack breakfast every year, did not finish his speech, heading into a nearby government offices to take a shower. He later returned to speak with reporters.

He said the pie hurt and he will be pressing charges against the man.

2. In the USA they SHOOT their leaders in Canada we PIE them!

Even our Prime Minister, Chretien has been pied...On the east coast a couple of years ago...And there have been other politicians who have been pied also....Also when someone broke into the Prime Minister's home the P.M. hit him over the head with an inuit carving...No guns involved....Does there seem to be a pattern here?....ha ha ha
