PAUL Burrell's wife Maria last night branded the Royal Family bullies after they tried to gag her over a book she is not even writing

Panicking Palace lawyers fired off a warning letter to her when they heard rumours she may publish an account of her life as a senior housemaid to Prince Philip and Princess Diana's dresser.

Worried about adding to a string of damaging revelations they told her: "Whilst we do not know what might be included in any such book, we thought it appropriate to remind you of the commitments that you made when employed by members of the Royal Family.

"We have been instructed that any breach of your obligations will not be disregarded."
