Is Africa becoming the next Afghanistan?
http://www.albawaba.com/news/index.php3?sid=256232&lang=e&dir=news

Five years after the first major Al-Qaeda attack outside Saudi Arabia – the destruction of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania - poverty stricken East Africa continues to be the stage for deadly atrocities by Islamic groups.

Dr. Rohan Gunaratna, author of ‘Inside Al-Qaeda: Global Network of Terror’ labels Africa an ‘intelligence black hole’ for Western governments, and cites the instability - due to conflict and general lawlessness of the region - combined with poverty as the reasons for why terrorist groups have been able to operate there so efficiently.

This is utter disinfomation.
Lies and propaganda for which the author deserves to be flogged or at least to go sit in the same place as one Salman Rushdie.

Anytime you see an article which talks about Africa as if it is one country you KNOW for a fact straight away that you are being lied to and that the person using that term is simply passing gas.

If Kenya were indeed as the author describes then the Aga Khan would not have spent his childhood there. The Aga Khan, is the leader of the Ismailis who, on the Golden Jubilee, gave the man his weight in gold. And guess what they did on his Diamond Jubilee?
Would such a prince willingly live in a hellhole?
A certain Princess was in Kenya when a personage entered her room and called her Queen Elizabeth. She said she was not yet queen since her father was still alive, whereupon the person once again addressed her as Queen.
Yeah sure, one tough neighborhood. That's EXACTLY why she was there on vacation.

The bastards behind the attacks are bitching and whining because their latest attempt to destabilize this nation has failed. African people as a whole and Kenyans in particular can both recognize and openly oppose enslavement. What is plain to see is that both the US and the Israeli government want to set up shop and control the Kenyan population. Kenya has suffered three bombings and it has ALWAYS been because a certain nation or two were misbehaving on Kenyan soil.
The US REFUSED to allow the Kenyans to properly investigate the so called "embassy bombing" and the marines shot and killed several civilians who were trying to rescue people trapped in the wreckage of Ufundi House. As a direct result of this arrogant type of behavior, the US Embassy was moved into a desolate area barely within Nairobi city limits. It is closed most of the time since their spies do not wish to be seen travelling across the wasteland to this pariah house.
So now they wish to move in lock, stock and barrel under the pretext of George Bush's "terrorism."

The Kenyan authorities last month saw its proposals for the controversial ‘Suppression of Terrorism’ bill rejected by a parliamentary committee. The bill – which allows police to arrest and search property without prior authority from the courts and allows investigators to detain suspected terrorists for up to 36 hours without allowing them contact with anyone - was met with fierce opposition by hundreds of protesters on the streets of Nairobi as well as human rights organizations.
The main opposition party, Kenya Africa National Union, fear that the bill would be the first step to creating a U.S. military base and long-standing presence in the East African state, while many of the country’s moderate Muslims (30% of the population) have been expressing fears that the bill deliberately targets and discriminates against them.

Kenya will not go the way of Afghanistan.
The Africans will not lay down their basic human rights as have the Americans. And Tony Blair had better get an encyclopaedia real quick and see what is says under Mau Mau.
The Palestinians catch a bad rap for suicide bombings in which they always seem to leave their ID cards intact despite the fact that the rest of the building, complete with occupants is shredded to bits.
The Palestinians are but poor students of the Mau Mau.
The British like to say that they defeated the Mau Mau, but the fact still remains that the victorious evidence of that particular debacle remains enshrined within Whitehall or Westminister Abbey, while the Kenyans now fly their own flag and conduct their own affairs as they so wish.

But Dr. Gunaratna believes that the economic neglect of Western governments towards this part of the continent has led to poverty and disenfranchisement - playing what he calls a ‘significant’ role too in Al-Qaeda’s ability to rise, operate and maintain support in the region.

Bloody Hell.
The bastard just puked up the rationale better known as
the White Man's Burden.

Pile on the brown man's burden,
compel him to be free;
Let all your manifestoes
Reek with philanthropy.
And if with heathen folly
He dares your will dispute,
Then, in the name of freedom,
Don't hesitate to shoot.

Pile on the brown man's burden,
And if his cry be sore,
That surely need not irk you--
Ye've driven slaves before.
Seize on his ports and pastures,
The fields his people tread;
Go make from them your living,
And mark them with his dead.

Pile on the brown man's burden,
Nor do not deem it hard
If you should earn the rancor
Of those ye yearn to guard.
The screaming of your Eagle
Will drown the victim's sob--
Go on through fire and slaughter.
There's dollars in the job.

And Dr. Gunaratna can take his disenfranchised ass back right into his mother who made a grevious error in keeping him and throwing out the placenta.
This man is the most eloquent argument for the need to maintain functioning and ACTIVE abortion clinics that I have seen all week.
