A Polish man faces charges for saying that he had anthrax in his carry-on luggage during a security check Thursday at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

Maciej Lukasz Buchwald's statement prompted airport security to mobilize a hazardous material team and ground a Comair flight for 90 minutes. The delayed flight was headed to New York City.

This is how the ordeal played out, according to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Cleveland:

Airport security guards had pulled Buchwald aside for additional screening as he went through the airport's checkpoint at about noon Thursday. When asked by a guard if he had anything sharp or fragile in his carry-on bag, Buchwald responded: "I have anthrax in my bag."..

6. To all physics buffs: put your coffee down
So this guy was boarding a plane. As he walked through the door, the flight attendant greeted him and asked if he was Polish.
Taken slightly aback, he answered, "N... No. No, I'm not."
Then the attendant directed him to his seat.
This strange question caused him to listen carefully as the other passengers boarded. The attendant asked everyone if they were Polish. If they were not, they were seated on the same side that he was. And if they were, they were seated on the other side.
The passenger began to get angry at the blatant discrimination. He stood up and confronted the flight attendant.
"What do you think you're doing?! I've never heard of such bigotry! Why are you seating all the Polish people over there and the rest of us over here?"
"Oh dear! I'm afraid you misunderstand. You see, for reasons of stability, we have to put all the Poles on the left side of the plane."

Ba-dump Bump!

7. Stupid is as stupid does.
According to the article, there was no joke, just a stupid statement that got the expected response.
Bad title to the article.
