Atmospheric CO2 Levels Hit 390 ppm (Up 2 From 2005) - Reuters
OSLO (Reuters) - Greenhouse gases have hit a new record in the atmosphere and the build-up is accelerating, apparently because of industrial growth in Asia, a researcher said on Friday.

"Levels are at a new high," said Kim Holmen, research director of the Norwegian Polar Institute which oversees a measuring station on the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard about 1,200 km from the North Pole.

He told Reuters that concentrations of carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas blamed for global warming and emitted largely by burning fossil fuels, had risen to 390 parts per million (ppm) from 388 a year ago.

1. So what? CO2 levels don't mean anything. It's harmless.
And besides, HUMANS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. Burning fossil fuels does NOT increase atmospheric CO2, silly.

:sarcasm:

2. Besides, the more CO2 there is for the trees to take in , the more
oxygen the trees will produce! This is a GOOD thing!

5. It would be if 'WE' didn't harvest the trees faster than THEY can regenerate.

4. Man continues to destroy and harvest the world's forrests........
faster than the forrests can be replaced; trees are our life support systems through conversion of CO2 to O2. Continued overpopulation worldwide will accelerate the increase in CO2 levels.
