Protesters stage 'die-in' to challenge climate change skeptics
Environmental campaigners will hold a "die-in" today outside the offices of a research organisation which claims science has failed to prove human activity is the cause of climate change.

The London-based International Policy Network describes itself as an educational charity defending individual liberty and property rights. But critics say it is a front for multinational companies whose profits could suffer if world governments agreed on action to save the planet. About 85 per cent of IPN's income is from corporate donors, including the giant oil company, ExxonMobil.

"Their disinformation has been highly effective, and they are helping to delay effective action against climate change by years," Phil Thornhill, of the London-based Campaign Against Climate Change, said. "The cost of this delay is something which could be counted in millions, if not billions, of lives."
